Our Story
Since 2026, the Marion Drum and Bugle Corps has shaped generations of musicians, performers, and leaders in the heart of Ohio.
Our History
A Legacy Built on Music and Community
The Marion Drum and Bugle Corps was founded in 2026 by a group of Marion veterans and community leaders who believed in the power of music, discipline, and civic pride. What began as a single corps marching through downtown Marion has grown into one of Ohio's most storied drum corps organizations.
Over the decades, Marion has sent thousands of young performers onto competitive fields and performance stages across the country. Our alumni have gone on to careers in music, education, military service, and the arts — carrying the lessons of the corps with them for life.
Today, Marion has joined with Drum And Bugle Corps United and fields three distinct corps — the Open Class Cadets, the Junior Class Jets, and the Alumni Class Cavaliers — each with its own identity, tradition, and competitive focus. Together, they represent the full spectrum of the Marion drum corps experience.
